Unwanted Hair

Unwanted hair can be a persistent and frustrating problem. Traditional methods like shaving and waxing can be time-consuming and often lead to irritation and ingrown hairs.

Each hair follicle undergoes a cyclical growth process influenced by factors like age and health conditions.

This cycle consists of three phases:

● Anagen (Growth Phase): The active growth period, typically lasting 2 to 7 years.
● Catagen (Transitional Phase): A brief transitional phase lasting 10-14 days.
● Telogen (Resting Phase): A resting period of about 2 to 3 months. At the end of this phase, the hair sheds, and new hair begins to grow, restarting the cycle.

Unwanted Hair

Many people have unwanted hair. It's common on the upper lip, chin, cheeks, back, chest, arms, legs, fingers, feet, and toes.

It can have many causes, including genetics, certain medications such as steroids, higher levels of certain hormones, and polycystic ovarian syndrome.

Hair Growth

How fast does hair grow?

Body hair, on average, grows to its full length in about a month. Male hair also tends to grow faster than female hair. The hair on the scalp can grow about six inches in a year.

Certain factors can affect the rate of hair growth, including:

● Nutrition
● Medications
● Genetics
● Hormones

The rate of growth may slow down as you get older as part of the hair follicular aging process.
